paintedhouseThe Lana’i Art Center is our modest effort to bring the possibilities of artistic creation to people who would not ordinarily have those opportunities. Whether it’s a six year old whose mom works, and who would find an empty house and silent rooms after school were it not for a children’s art class; a woman who plays with the resilience of clay and the glow of glazes, and sees a vessel take shape in her hands on a potters wheel; or a man who watches an inert block of wood turn into a bowl of beauty beneath his lathe; the Art Center seeks to bring the experience and the pleasure of art to everyone who might be interested.

We are a community-supported program and rely on the generous donations of visitors to the center, membership fees, and proceeds from the gift shop. Please help support our on-going efforts to help foster a creative outlet for budding and mature artists alike by donating now, visiting the gift shop, or becoming a member.

2018 Charity Walk

The Maui County Charity Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 5th on Lanai. This is a major event that helps us raise operating expenses that provide a variety of programs including  Art in the Classroom, open ceramics studio, silk painting and other events.  Please consider walking with the team from the Lanai Art Center this year in support of the arts in our community. This is a fun and easy way to help raise funds. We would love to have you walk with us!

You can register online and/or make a donation by clicking here or on the Charity Walk logo.
Simply click “Pledge to this Team”. From the “Select Registration/Donation Type” options you can choose to make a donation of your choice, or register to walk and help raise funds. $35 minimum pledge for those 18 or over, and $25 for under 18. Walker registration / donation forms are also available at the Art Center. Mahalo for your support!
