Annual Spring Rummage Sale Fundraiser

Aloha! We will be holding our annual Rummage Sale on April 8, 2017 from 8-12 AM. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. The fundraiser will benefit the Kids’ Art Club program (a collaboration between LAC and LHES) as well as other art programs for the Lanai community. The proceeds will fund instruction and supplies. Donations may be dropped off at the Gallery at 339 7th Street, M-Sat between 10 am (usually open) and 4:00 pm. Please call 565-7503 in advance to ensure that we are open. We will also arrange pick up! Thank you for anything that is in good & saleable condition. Unfortunately, we struggle with old TV’s, used printers (unless all is in working order) and other older electronics. New inks, paper goods, etc is fine. Mahalo!

Call for Kid's Art!

Young Artists from pre-K thru high school are invited to submit art work for an open exhibition show at the Lanai Art Center.

Any style, media or size is welcomed: painting, pen, crayon, collage, mixed media, fabric arts, lei making, photography, sculpture, ceramics; framed or unframed. It can be any work you created at any time, any age, school or home.

You do not have to be a member of the Lanai Art Center to participate in this April 2017 Exhibition.

Artists (with parents help) will need to complete the submission form to identify their work, give it a title, give some explanation about materials used or why they created the work or why they like it.

Artists do not have to sell their work, however, Artists can price their work for sale if they like. Suggested ranges could be from $5 to $25. If the art is sold, 75% of the price will go to the artist and  LAC will receive 25% of the sale price.

Work will be on public display from April 1- April 29, with name, grade, title and sale price noted on each work. If you only want your first name on the display card, please note that on the submission form. You can download your submission from here.

A reception for artists and the public will held at the Lanai Art Center on April 22. All art work can be picked up by the artists on Saturday, April 29, the close of the Exhibition.

paintedhouseThe Lana’i Art Center was founded in 1991. It is the only multi-purpose community arts program on the island. The Lana’i Art Center is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing arts and cultural experiences for all residents and visitors through ongoing classes, workshops, and studio access.

We are a community-supported program and rely on the generous donations of visitors to the center, membership fees, and proceeds from the gift shop. Please help support our on-going efforts to help foster a creative outlet for budding and mature artists alike by donating now, visiting the gift shop, or becoming a member.
